About these terms
These terms apply when you use Masterdeck, including this website, the app and the demo. By creating an account you agree to them.
“Masterdeck”, “we” and “us” mean the operator of Masterdeck. “You” means the person who holds the account.
What Masterdeck does
Masterdeck is software for keeping portfolio records. It tracks holdings, trades, income and currency, and works out returns and capital gains from the records you add.
Masterdeck is not a broker. It does not hold your money or investments, place trades or move funds.
Not financial or tax advice
Everything on this site and in the app is general information. It does not take your objectives, finances or needs into account.
Tax figures depend on the records you give us and the choices you make, such as parcel matching. Check your figures against your broker statements and have a registered tax agent review your return before you lodge it.
Your account
Give accurate details when you sign up and keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
If you think someone else has access, email support@masterdeck.app straight away.
Your records
Your portfolio records belong to you. You let us store and process them only to run Masterdeck for you.
Only connect accounts and upload files you are allowed to use. Check imported records against your broker statements, because missing or wrong records lead to wrong results.
Adviser plan and client portals
The Adviser plan lets you keep portfolios for clients and invite clients and team members to view them. You must have each client’s permission before you record or share their information. You are responsible for who you invite and what you share.
Clients and team members sign in with the email address you invited. They can view and export only the portfolios shared with them. Portal access is covered by your plan. It stops when you remove the person or your plan ends.
Masterdeck does not give your clients financial or tax advice, and it does not replace any licence or registration you need to advise them.
Free trial and paid plans
Every new account starts with a 14-day free trial. You do not need a card to start, and nothing is charged when the trial ends.
Paid plans are billed in Australian dollars by our payment provider, monthly or annually, and renew until you cancel. Current prices are on the pricing page. We will email you at least 30 days before a price change applies to your next renewal.
Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel at any time. Open Plans & billing and choose Manage billing. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not charged again.
We do not refund part-used billing periods. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including refunds it requires.
Fair use
Do not try to access other people’s data, break or overload the service, copy it with automated tools, reverse engineer it or resell it. We may suspend an account that does, and we will tell you why where we can.
Third-party data and availability
Prices, exchange rates, company logos and broker feeds come from outside providers. They can be delayed, incomplete or wrong, and we cannot guarantee them.
We work to keep Masterdeck running and your data backed up, but we cannot promise the service will always be available or free of errors.
Our liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for losses from investment or tax decisions you make using Masterdeck.
Our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. This does not exclude any guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law.
Closing your account
You can delete your account and its records from Settings. If you have a paid plan, cancel it first, or email support@masterdeck.app and we will close the account for you. We may close an account that breaks these terms, after giving notice where we reasonably can.
Changes, law and contact
If we make a material change to these terms, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
